About HKE
Hong Kong Energy (Holdings) Limited ("HKE"), a subsidiary of HKC (Holdings) Limited ("HKC"), is an Alternative Energy project developer focused on China. HKE is headquartered in Hong Kong whilst the Beijing office serves as an operational centre for the development and management of the Chinese projects.

The vision of HKE is to be the Trusted Partner in China's Alternative Energy Development. Our strategy is currently focused on the wind power development and operation in China. We have a competent technical and experience management team and are one of the first movers in China's wind power business with a growing wind generation capacity. We have strong project partners including China Energy Conservation and Investment Corporation (CECIC), one of the largest SOEs in China involved in energy conservation and environmental protection; and local municipal electricity companies.

HKE is currently developing two wind power projects with the following shareholdings:

  • Lunaobao, a 100.5 MW wind power project located in Hebei Province, about 300 km north of Beijing (30%) ; and
  • Siziwang Qi Phase 2, a 49.5 MW wind power project in Inner Mongolia (100%).

HKE is also working closely with HKC in exploring new wind project opportunities of which all HKC's new investment in the Alternative Energy businesses will be conducted through HKE. In addition, the possibility of transferring some of HKC's existing alternative energy assets to HKE may be considered in the future, depending on various factors including market conditions.

Currently, HKC owns and operates two 30 MW wind power stations in Mudanjiang, Heilongjiang Province (with respective shareholdings of 86% and 86.6%), a 40 MW wind power station in Danjinghe, Hebei Province (with shareholding of 40%) and a 25 MW waste-to-energy power plant in Shandong Province (with shareholding of 40%). HKC is developing an additional 160 MW of wind power project in Danjinghe (with shareholding of 40%) and a 201 MW wind power project in Changma, Gansu Province (with shareholding of 40%). In addition, we have the preferential development rights to further develop the site of Siziwang Qi (both Phase 1 and Phase 2) of about 900 MW of wind reserves capacity.
